Trevoh Chalobah Set to Replace Marc Guehi in Three Lions Selection
The Chelsea star followed his brother Nathaniel in playing for England, becoming the twenty-first pair of brothers to earn caps for the national team.
Trevoh Chalobah is expected to join up with the Three Lions selection to replace injured Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
The 26-year-old footballer is scheduled to join the national side for England's last World Cup qualifying matches against Albania and Serbia, although it has yet to be confirmed.
The Three Lions have already booked their place for next summer's World Cup.
Chalobah received his first call-up under England head coach Thomas Tuchel in the month of May and then earned his first cap against the Senegalese team.
In the month of September, Tuchel remarked Chalobah was unlucky to be omitted from the team for qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia, and also did not select him for the subsequent October international break.
Tuchel has been an important figure in Chalobah's development, having awarded him his Chelsea debut in the year 2021.
Chalobah has featured in all but four matches for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the club occupying third spot in the Premier League, in the EFL Cup last eight and in the league phase of the Champions League.
Guehi suffered a injury to his foot in Crystal Palace's Conference League success over the Dutch side last week.
There are expected to be other additions to the team. Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has announced that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and shot-stopper Nick Pope (concussion symptoms) are set to pull out from the England setup.
