World number one Aryna Sabalenka has been voted the Women's Tennis Association top performer of the year for a second consecutive year.

The twenty-seven-year-old won four titles – the highest tally on the circuit – including retaining the US Open in September against Amanda Anisimova to claim her fourth career Grand Slam singles triumph.

A Year of High Performance

Across the season, Sabalenka reached a circuit-leading nine finals, with defeats coming against Madison Keys in the Australian Open final in January and Coco Gauff in June's French Open final.

The Belarusian also triumphed at the Brisbane International in January, the Miami Open during the spring, and the Madrid Open in May. She spent the entire year as the top-ranked player, finishing 2025 atop the rankings for a second straight year.

This past summer, she achieved the status of being the first athlete to top 12,000 WTA ranking points after Serena Williams did so nearly a decade ago.

Historic Statistics

Sabalenka finished the season with a sixty-three to twelve match record, and picked up a historic £11m in prize money.

She garnered almost 80% of the votes cast by global tennis journalists.

Later this month, she is poised to compete against 2022 Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios in a high-profile mixed-gender exhibition match in a bid to "raise women's tennis to a new level".

  • Most Improved Player of the Year: Amanda Anisimova received the accolade after making five championship matches.
