FC Barcelona Ready for First Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou this Saturday

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in La Liga 30 months after they moved out to allow renovations to start.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barça organized a public practice inside the stadium earlier this month. Officials stated approval is being pursued by UEFA for their upcoming Champions League fixture facing Eintracht on 9 December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
